Weekend Arbor Wood Project
We call this the “Weekend Arbor” for two reasons. First, with a few simple hand tools and some lumber and supplies from your local home center, you can build this beautiful arbor in one weekend (maybe even a long day). And second, once you've built the arbor, you're sure to spend many pleasant weekend hours enjoying it!
And the reasons you’ll enjoy it go beyond ease of construction. You can build this arbor to fit your garden and your dreams.
The Weekend Arbor is 86-1/4" high x 64-1/2" wide x 31" deep. We built it out of standard, dimensional western red cedar lumber, so there's no ripping involved. The suggested tools include only a circular saw, a jigsaw, and a router. Plus, the plan shows you how to anchor the arbor to concrete pads.
